Keep Wisconsin Green

The Ho-Chunk people were once caretakers of more than 10 million acres of land in Wisconsin and Illinois. Today, we continue that tradition of conservation by shepherding local wildlife, preserving our remaining natural spaces, and restoring our land and water to its natural state…all in an effort to protect our environment. The greening of Wisconsin is a cultural value within the Ho-Chunk Nation. We express that value at both the individual level and as a Nation-wide priority, enacting policies and programs to conserve energy, limit waste, and help keep Wisconsin green.
